The things paper can't do

You know your shop better than any software can. But a few things are hard to keep in your head.

  • The khata is a paper book. Ravi owes you money, but on which page? Totalling last month's udhaar takes time. Some of it you will never see again.
  • You can't count your stock. You think an item is in stock, so you don't reorder. Or you reorder "just in case" and cash sits on the shelf. Either way you're guessing.
  • You find the expired strip when the customer brings it back. By then it's a loss, and a customer who trusts you a little less.

Why it runs on your computer, not the cloud

Works without internet

The shop runs on the machine at your counter. If the internet in your area is down, billing, stock and khata all keep working. Internet is only needed for backups and WhatsApp.

No monthly server bill

Every plan: setup at your shop ₹2,999 (we install it, put in your item list and train your staff). The first year of updates and support is included; after that, optional Care at ₹2,499 / ₹3,999 / ₹5,999 a year. Without Care it keeps working.

Not sure which fits? Tell us about your shop and we'll say. If you outgrow one, moving up is a settings change, not a reinstall, and nothing you've entered is lost.

Founding Shop offer: the first three shops

The first three shops in Solapur or Pune get Prerova Silver for ₹7,999 all-in (list price ₹10,998 with setup). You pay ₹1,999 only after your first bill prints in your shop. The balance of ₹6,000 is paid once, or as ₹3,000 + ₹3,000.

Pay by day 45 and you get 18 months of updates and support; by day 60, 12 months. We install it, put in your items, customers and udhaar, train your counter staff, and stay on call. If you don't pay, nothing locks: you lose support, never your data or your billing.

Questions shop owners ask

What computer do I need?

An ordinary Windows desktop or laptop that stays switched on during shop hours. 8 GB of memory and an SSD is the comfortable minimum; 16 GB is better if you have two counters. A basic UPS is worth it so a power cut doesn't interrupt a bill. If you don't have a suitable machine, tell us and we'll advise on what to buy. It's usually a small one-time cost.

What if my computer dies?

The system backs itself up automatically several times a day, and a copy is kept outside the shop, so your records exist in more than one place. We restore onto another machine from that backup. We test the restore regularly rather than assuming it works.

Do I need internet at all?

Not for billing, stock, khata or reports. Internet is used for two optional things: sending the backup copy off the machine, and WhatsApp reminders to customers. If it's down, the shop keeps running and the backup catches up later.

What does it cost?

It's software you buy once for your shop, not a monthly subscription that switches off if you miss a payment. Silver ₹7,999, Gold ₹14,999, Platinum ₹24,999, once, plus ₹2,999 for setup at your shop. The first year of updates and support is included. The first three shops get the Founding Shop offer: Silver for ₹7,999 all-in.

Can it handle GST?

Yes. Purchase orders carry HSN codes and a full CGST/SGST/IGST breakdown, and you can track what you've paid a supplier and what's still due. Sales bills are proper GST tax invoices, and Prerova prepares the GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B files for your CA to check and upload.

Who trains my staff?

We do, in your shop, on your own data. The billing screen is designed for someone who has never used software before, so most counter staff are comfortable within a day or two.

Can I get my data out if I stop using it?

Yes. The database sits on your own computer, and the automatic backups, including the copy kept off-site, are yours. If you ever stop using it, we hand over a complete export, sales, stock, customers, khata and staff, as spreadsheet files. It's your data. We don't hold it to keep you.

Is my shop's data private?

It never leaves your computer unless you send it somewhere. There's no company server holding your sales, no account we log into, and no tracking. Each person who uses it has their own login and their own permissions, so you decide who can give discounts or cancel a bill.

Who's behind this

Prerova is run from Solapur by Nikhil Pindipol. It wasn't built to be sold first and used later. It was built to run a real retail business, and it does, every day, before it was offered to anyone else.

That means the person who answers your WhatsApp is the person who built it. There's no ticket queue and no call centre. If something's broken, you tell us and it gets fixed.
